57–41–1 when the model changed the market number.

The policy changed 99 historical Week 2 predictions and improved average spread error from 11.957 to 11.920 points. It earned +11.9 units at standard −110 pricing and finished profitable in 6 of 9 seasons.

This is historical research against an archived current-line proxy for the original Week 2 policy. It supports a selective move off the market, while the exact record remains too small to promise the same future win rate. The matchup additions have their own research record below. The reviewed Oregon adjustment sits outside this replay and will be graded separately.

33–19–3 on additional Week 2 sides.

Across 2020–2025, these additional Week 2 selections won 63.5% of settled bets and earned +11.0 units at assumed −110 odds. Across all weeks, the rule added 963 selections: 530–413–20, or 56.2%, with +68.8 units and a profit in all six seasons.

Efficiency and line play supplied the clearest evidence. Earlier tests helped shape this model, and the Week 2 sample contains only 52 settled bets; these are research results rather than a live record or a win probability for today’s picks.

The additions use the frozen matchup forecast and require at least one point of edge at the named book. Similar-game comparisons provide context and do not change the recommendation or its size.

How Week 1 changes the number

One result earns a measured share of the forecast.

The Week 2 update measures how each team played before garbage time, adjusts for possessions and opponent quality, then checks whether efficiency, success rate and line play support the score. The additional matchup picks examine offensive and defensive unit profiles in games the original policy passed.

01

Use the QB who played—or the confirmed starter

Week 1 participation replaces preseason guesses first. Fresh team and local news then overrides it when a coach names an injury replacement.

02

Shrink one-game QB stats

Opponent-adjusted efficiency, success rate and line play help separate durable performance from a few volatile plays.

03

Read the market response

The model can back a team the market has not fully rewarded or fade a move that ran beyond the football evidence.

04

Show transition risk

QB evidence, coaching changes and roster turnover describe uncertainty without automatically deleting a bet.

How to read the board

The same evidence lanes for every game.

Each matchup starts with the saved spread and total, our projected score and the published SP+ score. Below that are explicit ATS and total calls, any All-Takes recommendation detail, the published Cover 3 picks, the locked CFBPredictor projection and one fixed slot for each local perspective.

Why All Takes made this call
Base model before reviewOklahoma State +22.5

The unchanged production forecast has Oregon by 21.9, creating a 0.60-point Oklahoma State lean at this price. The reviewed fair line adds 3.3 points to Oregon and keeps the game in the higher-uncertainty group.

Why the call changed

Oklahoma State's rebuilt defense projects for below-average pass disruption, a favorable matchup for Dante Moore's timing and downfield efficiency. The staff and bounce-back evidence support the remaining adjustment.

Risk to the bet

Cassity's recent defenses created above-average pressure, and Oklahoma State's eight failed possessions against Tulsa leave real backdoor risk if its ball security improves.

Moore versus pass havoc

Pass havoc counts sacks and passes defended per dropback. Moore averaged a 183.1 passer rating against his seven lower-havoc FBS opponents in 2025 and 145.8 against the upper half. Oklahoma State produced one disrupted pass and no sacks on 24 Tulsa dropbacks, while coordinator Skyler Cassity's recent defenses suggest a more conservative 14% to 16% range.

The rebuilt line and failed perimeter game cut the Cowboys to 14.0 points; the weak pass rush and explosive-pass exposure lift Oregon to 41.5.

Line play and efficiency profiles support Army, with a smaller contribution from pass disruption. Together they support Army by nearly five.

The defensive response curves pull against Army. At four points, the remaining price advantage is too small.

Why All Takes made this call
Why this side

Efficiency and finishing profiles give Memphis the largest matchup adjustment among the eligible underdogs. The offered spread leaves the largest price advantage on this added card.

Risk to the bet

The defensive response curves pull modestly toward Boise State. This is a points recommendation; Boise State remains the projected winner.

Coaching and uncertainty

Memphis has new coach Charles Huff. QB evidence, coaching continuity and roster turnover make this game less predictable than most of the slate.

Every lane keeps its own meaning.

All-Takes ATS. The current card contains 23 side recommendations. The other 26 games say Pass explicitly.

All-Takes totals. The totals model recommends 6 overs and 26 unders. Its 17 passes stay on the board.

SP+. The published Sept. 8 Week 2 sheet supplies a rounded projected score, margin and win probability for every matchup above.

CFBPredictor. The locked CFPi+ V2026.2 board supplies a projected score, win probability and market gap for all 49 matchups. Its DraftKings lines were captured at the Sept. 8 at 2:29 p.m. ET snapshot; the displayed gap is model disagreement rather than a betting recommendation.

Cover 3. The four main hosts made 53 board-relevant Week 2 plays across 28 matchups in the Sept. 10 locks episode, including first-half, quarter, team-total and moneyline-sprinkle markets. Tom Fornelli’s Wofford spread and moneyline plays are the two episode calls outside this FBS-vs-FBS board. Club Kenz, dentist and producer segments are not included because an independently checkable pick list was not available at this update.

Injury news. Team and local reporting supply the primary availability evidence, with explicit quarterback and coach searches for both sides. Covers is retained as a supplement. Confirmed pregame starter changes rebuild the quarterback input; a mismatch holds the side until the new starter is reconciled.

Local reads. We sourced 29 matchup-specific calls from team-focused and local outlets, plus one explicitly labeled All-Takes inference from ATQ’s Oklahoma State film study, while preserving all 98 team-perspective slots. A blank side is an unsuccessful search, not evidence that local writers agree or have no view.
